SUEZ and the MAScIR Foundation, affiliated with the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), have signed a memorandum of understanding marking the beginning of a collaboration to jointly identify innovative solutions in the field of waste treatment and valorization.

The partnership focuses on the emergence of resilient and innovative circular solutions for waste treatment and valorization. Specifically, the partnership aims at areas such as the valorization of organic waste from agriculture, the recycling and valorization of industrial waste, as well as the development of low-carbon footprint solutions.

With this collaboration, SUEZ strengthens its approach to “open innovation” by extending it to one of the most dynamic and innovative countries on the continent. This approach includes scientific partnerships with leading universities, such as UM6P, to support upstream research and identify the solutions required for adaptation to climate change.

SUEZ has teams and references of the highest caliber in this field, internationally. With 1,100 experts worldwide, nearly 1,700 patents and 10 research and excellence centers, and a dynamic of innovation at all levels of the company, SUEZ is committed to accelerating the ecological transition of its partners and clients.

On the other hand, the MAScIR Foundation, affiliated with UM6P, is a recognized research center for its applied research projects. It relies on the skills and expertise of more than 200 researchers and engineers in the fields of biotechnology, materials, and microelectronics. Through this collaboration agreement, the MAScIR Foundation reaffirms its vocation for science, innovation, and research, and its commitment to meet the current and future needs of national operators by proposing innovative solutions with high added value.
