SOREC AND THE MAScIR FOUNDATION BECOME PARTNERS IN THE FIELD OF RESEARCH AND SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT

The Royal Society of Horse Encouragement (SOREC) and the MAScIR Foundation sign, on Tuesday January 4, 2022, a partnership agreement in the field of research and scientific and technological development.

This 3-year partnership, which covers the terms and conditions of cooperation between the two institutions, aims to enhance technological innovation in the equine sector and promote the « Made in Morocco » label.

Thanks to the expertise acquired by several of the Foundation’s research departments, especially in the fields of plant biotechnology, natural resource recovery, waste recycling and microelectronics, SOREC and MAScIR have been able to identify several research and development topics that meet the specific needs of the equine industry

Other projects should also be developed, such as traceability solutions, horse tracking, as well as the formulation of food supplements.

It should be remembered that a first project has already been launched and concerns the recycling of used tires, which has shown that the paving stones produced have good shock-absorbing characteristics and have self-locking properties adapted to stable floors. These actions have improved the safety of horses and contributed to the prevention of accident risks.

Through this agreement, SOREC confirms its commitment to develop projects with a positive impact on the environment, innovation and research in Morocco. For its part, MAScIR reaffirms its interest in science, progress and research as well as its willingness to address the current and future needs of national operators.
