LAPROPHAN AND THE MAScIR FOUNDATION HAVE SIGNED A JOINT VENTURE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOLUTIONS IN BIOMEDICAL TECHNOLOGY.

The MAScIR Foundation, affiliated with the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, and the Laprophan laboratories signed a joint venture on Monday, October 2, 2023, in Laayoune, at the UM6P headquarters in Foum El Oued, Laayoune.

This signing between Mr. Hicham El Habti, President of UM6P and the MAScIR Foundation, and Mr. Farid Bennis, President of Laprophan, took place under the effective presidency of Mr. Wali Abdeslam Bekrat and gave birth to a common vehicle called IBYLTECH (Ibyl for “camel” in Arabic and tech for biomedical technology).

The objective of this joint venture is to develop nanobodies derived from camelids for cosmetic and medical indications. Through research dedicated to biotechnology and the valorization of the camel, the joint venture is part of the joint desire of Laprophan, UM6P, and MAScIR to contribute concretely to the development of the Southern Provinces.

This ceremony was attended by Ms. Nawal Chraibi, General Director of the MAScIR Foundation, Mrs. Elisabeth Moreno, Administrator of Laprophan and former Minister, the Consuls accredited to Laayoune, as well as elected officials and notables from the region.
